I am a photographer from Dublin, Ireland. I specialize in travel, landscape and cityscape photography although I enjoy experimenting with other genres from time to time. I am at my happiest when combining my love of photography with my love of travel. There is nothing quite like exploring a new city with my camera at the ready.
I believe that the quality of light is what really makes a photograph great and I endevour to shoot my landscapes and cityscapes when the light is at its best, an hour or so either side of sunrise and sunset. The hour or so before sunrise often gives scenes a wonderful pastel and tranquil feel whereas the rising and setting sun casts a golden low angled light over everything it reflects off as well as creating some wonderful shadows and revealing the textures present in the scene. The hour or so after sunset known as the blue hour is my favourite time for capturing urban landscapes as the city lights begin to come to life as night falls.
In 2011, I won the Tom Shanahan Memorial Photography Competition (open to members of all the photography clubs in North Dublin). In 2009, I became a Licentiate of the Irish Photographic Society (L.I.P.F.) and am currently preparing my Associateship (A.I.P.F.). I held my first exhibition in November 2010 and plan to hold more in the near future.

Finally, let me tell you a little about myself. I am 32 years old and was born in Dublin where I have lived all my life apart from a year spent in the town of Brive la Gaillarde in South West France . I currently live in Dublin with my very inspiring wife and slightly dysfunctional cat who strangely enough does not inspire my photography quite so much. My other interests include travel, history, rugby, golf and all things French. I am a big Leinster rugby supporter. Allez les Bleus!
Please feel free to contact me if you have any queries or simply to say hello.
Enjoy the website.
